Women's Ministry
The Mad City Women have this mission:
To know God passionately as His daughters, committed to extending the
love of Christ.
"They will be called Trees of Goodness, trees planted by the Lord to show his
greatness. They will rebuild the old ruins and restore the places
destroyed long ago. They will repair the ruined cities that were
destroyed for so long." (Isaiah 61:3)
What is "Women's Connection"? A variety of groups of women gathering
together over common interests (eg. books, prayer, worship, kids, etc.).
The groups are lead by women who have made long-term commitments to
invest in the lives of the women who are in their groups. Through
the passage of time, these women learn to love one another and fight
for one another.
Can I only come if I started coming at the beginning? No. Groups that
are part of Women's Connection welcome women at anytime during the
year. The desire of the leaders' hearts and the women who regularly
attend the groups is to love and accept women at anytime.
Will the women in these groups fail you or hurt you sometimes? Maybe.
The point of these groups is to bring real women together in
real relationships. None of the women are perfect but we all are serving
a perfect Savior. The bonds of love that are developed through these
groups will be because of His perfect love. Because of that we hope you will
find a different experience that you have in the past ~ that there is
true acceptance and forgiveness and that we can overcome each other's
failures.
Women's Connection plans on meeting on a quarterly basis in a large
group format. These meetings will include worship & corporate
prayer. These meetings are open to all women. You do not need
to attend a small group in order to participate in these
nights. Watch the bulletin for specific dates, time and
location.
These groups will run with the school year calendar and will
begin the week of September 9. You may come at anytime during
the year. The groups will take off mid-December - mid January
to celebrate the holidays and Easter vacation. Most groups
meet on a bi-weekly basis. Please contact the leader of each
group with any specific questions you may have.
